  1. Climate Plan: Spring Open House #1 at Earth Day

    Don't miss the opportunity to contribute to Flagstaff's first Climate Action and Adaptation Plan. Drop in at the Open House any time between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. We will have interactive stations where you can: • Learn how climate change may affect Flagstaff • Learn about suggested goals and strategies in the Climate Plan • Provide feedback on the Plan's suggestions and overall direction of the Plan. There will be TWO Open Houses this Spring, with the same opportunities for input. The second Open House will be: May 2nd from 4:30 - 7:00 at the Murdoch Center. Can't make the Open House? We're collecting input via survey, too, starting in late April. For more information on the Climate Plan process: www.flagstaff.az.gov/ClimatePlan.

  2. Earth Day: Rainwater Harvesting Workshop

    Saving water is important in the arid southwest. One great way to green your home, save water, & reduce water bills is to collect rainwater. During this free workshop, the City of Flagstaff Water Conservation* staff will share important information about installing a barrel in your garden and we will have free barrels on hand for you to take home (while supplies last and first come, first serve).

    In an effort to increase public awareness and harbor transparent communication with the public City of Flagstaff Water Services is holding a bi-monthly Community Water Forum for Flagstaff. Each water forum will have a specific topic and short presentation, then the floor will be open for discussion. This forum's topic: The Future of Water in Flagstaff – Considering the Options. Erin Young, Flagstaff Water Services Resources Manager will guide you through the complex world of ensuring a safe, secure water supply remains available to the City of Flagstaff. This high-country desert community actually has multiple options. Learn about the research, low-cost alternatives and proactive steps being taken to guarantee Tested-Treated- Safe water supplies for the next 100 years.
